Prepare your watch for a sale inquiry
The photos and details that help MVP understand the watch you would like to sell.
Start readingIdentify what you have
Start with brand, model and reference if known. Include the approximate year only when supported by documentation, and say when a detail is unknown. Describe any modifications and service history. You do not need to invent a technical description to begin a conversation.
Photograph the relevant details
Use soft light and an uncluttered background. Photograph the dial, both case sides, clasp, bracelet and accessories. Avoid filters that conceal wear. Keep full serial numbers and personal information out of public photos; share sensitive details only through an agreed private channel.
Understand the next step
An initial message starts an inquiry, not a binding offer. The team may need to inspect the watch and verify information before discussing final terms. Ask how handover, payment and any shipping would be arranged. Do not ship a watch until the recipient and instructions have been confirmed.
A little more prepared.
Before your next conversation, check that you’ve considered each point.
