Photograph your watch for a useful inquiry
A simple photo checklist for showing the actual piece clearly.
Start readingUse light that shows the surface
Place the watch near a window in indirect light and use a plain background. Clean the camera lens and keep the watch steady. Avoid glare across the dial. Include both a wider image and detail photographs so the viewer can place each close-up in context.
Cover the whole watch
Capture the front, case sides, bezel, bracelet, clasp and back. Include visible wear rather than hiding it. Lay out included accessories separately. Do not open the case or dismantle parts to obtain a photo; leave inspection to an appropriate professional.
Send context with the pictures
Add the reference if known, what is included and the questions you want answered. Remove location metadata from public copies and obscure full serial numbers or personal details on documents. Keep original files available for a private follow-up if requested.
