Ask whether the watch is in its original configuration and whether any dial, bezel, bracelet or stones have been changed. Original, replacement and aftermarket are different descriptions. The answer should concern the individual watch, not a general statement about the brand.
Ask what is documented
Request available invoices or service records for changes. Photos can show appearance but do not settle the origin of every component. If a listing uses words such as custom or diamond-set, ask who performed the work and which parts were changed. Do not assume a brand performed a modification.
Choose with the differences understood
A modified watch may appeal visually, but its service options and resale audience can differ. Confirm any applicable warranty exclusions and ask a qualified provider about future servicing. Save the written description of the configuration with your purchase records.
