Watch warranty questions before you buy
Clarify who provides coverage, what it includes and how a claim would work.
Start readingIdentify the provider
A seller warranty and a manufacturer warranty are not interchangeable. Ask who is responsible for the coverage on the particular piece, when it starts and what document establishes it. The presence of an old warranty card does not by itself establish remaining coverage.
Read the scope and exclusions
Ask about the movement, cosmetic wear, accidental damage, water damage and modifications. Confirm the process for requesting service, whether prior authorization is required and who handles transport. Keep the written terms rather than relying on a short sales description.
Check returns separately
A return policy answers a different question from a warranty. Confirm the applicable return window, condition requirements and any exclusions directly with MVP before purchase. The store’s published policy pages are linked from client services; transaction-specific arrangements should be confirmed in writing.
